Happy Valentine's Day!  We are excited to show you how to make these adorable Valentine's treat bags.  This method can be used for any occasion, not just Valentine's Day, so get creative and have fun!  They are quick and easy and can be filled with homemade or store bought treats.  Enjoy :)

Supply List:

Treat Bag Topper (free download from Twisted Wire Design!)

Treat Bags (we used the clear bags from Walmart, 4" wide)

Treats (we used heart cookie cutters to cut out brownies.  Yummm!!!)

Step 1 | Prep:

Cut your bags to size:

Our heart brownies were fairly short, so we cut our bags down to about 2/3 the original length.  You will want to leave three to four inches above your treat to allow space for stapling your top, and letting your treat have some room to move.

Print your bag toppers:

Download the template here.  Make sure when you print, that your printer is scaling at 100% - this will ensure your toppers are the correct size for your 4" wide bags.  Once it is printed, cut along the light gray lines.  It is easier to fill out the TO/FROM before you fold, so go ahead and do that now.  Next, fold your toppers in half, so they will cover the open end of your treat bags.

Step 2 | Assemble:

We found our gooey, fudgy brownies were easier to cut after we chilled them in the refrigerator for an hour or so.  After that was complete, we put our treats in our bags.  The topper goes next!  We put the open end of the bag flat and right up to our fold crease, and then stapled each side.  These adorable treats will make anyone's day!
